Preparedness Strategist for Håbo Municipality

Do you have experience in crisis preparedness and civil defense? Håbo Municipality is now looking for a preparedness strategist who wants to help strengthen our ability to meet future challenges.

About the Workplace

As a preparedness strategist, you will have overall responsibility for the municipality's strategic work in crisis preparedness and civil defense. You will serve as a close support to the municipality's various administrations and provide advice. The role is outward-facing and involves many contacts, both internally and externally with other authorities and actors.

The position is located in the Unit for Security and Preparedness. We work broadly with issues related to crisis preparedness, civil defense, information security, and safety and crime prevention work. Our various areas of responsibility are closely interconnected, and we work as a whole where we support each other in our different assignments. The unit consists of three employees and is directly subordinate to the municipal director, which gives us short decision-making paths and a clear mandate.

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Driving and developing the municipality's overall work with preparedness and civil defense
• Planning and conducting training initiatives and exercise activities
• Managing assignments and projects in preparedness issues
• Providing support to the municipality's operations, for example regarding continuity management and risk and vulnerability analyses
• Participating in collaboration forums and working groups within the role's areas of responsibility
• The role also includes serving as TiB, the municipality's official in preparedness.

Qualifications

• You have a relevant academic education focused on security or preparedness
• Alternatively, you have other documented education and experience that we assess as equivalent
• You have several years of experience working in crisis preparedness, civil defense, security work, or security protection issues
• You have good knowledge of the regulations and are well acquainted with current and upcoming legislation in the area
• You have an excellent ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• You have a B driver's license.

It is meritorious if you:

• Have experience working with risk and vulnerability analyses (RSA)
• Have experience with technical support systems such as WIS and Rakel
• Have experience leading and driving projects
• Have experience independently planning and conducting exercises and training
• Have experience working in a politically governed organization.

Security Clearance

The position is classified in a security class, which means that a security clearance with a background check will be conducted according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) before employment. The employment requires an approved security clearance. The position requires Swedish citizenship.
